Job Description 

The Test Engineer for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is responsible of development innovative and smart testing methodologies.  

The candidate executes in-vehicle and bench tests and analyze the data for technical approval during all phases of project development. 

Main activities 

  • Guaranteeing the test validation execution for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, according to program timing  target
  • Analyzing the requirements, define test procedure/scenario and test case compliant to requirements  verifying test coverage
  • Setting up in-vehicle and bench testing environments using software and hardware tools
  • Defining and creating smart testing methodologies using static driving simulator
  • Identifying and tracking software or hardware defects
  • Writing test reports to document results of testing and to communicate issues found
  • Implementing and executing automated test in order to build up repeatable stress test suites for ADAS functionalities
  • Estimating time, evaluating material needed for the correct execution of the test
  • Cooperating with ADAS development team and ADAS performance team to resolve the anomalies


  • Knowledge in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field of study
  • Capability in execution of experimental tests under his responsibility in compliance to internal standards
  • Have strong hands-on experience in-vehicle and bench in performing ADAS testing
  • Work with internal engineering teams to develop and design the new validation standard test , ensuring regulatory compliance of the vehicle in every market
  • Understanding of various CAN & LIN Networks and sensors/actuators for Automotive Business
  • Knowledge of CAN/LIN architecture and tools, CANalyzer, CANape
  • Experience in functional, safety,  integration, no regression and fault injection testing, both manual and automated.
  • Experience in finding root cause and troubleshooting
  • Ability to develop scripts in different code languages ( e.g. CAPL, Labview, C-Code, Visual Basic).
  • Good understanding of project/test life cycle
  • Good knowledge on safety electronics domain
